Our client is an innovative, fast-growing company operating in a dynamic startup mode. The business has recently expanded its staff in the UK and built out offshore development capabilities in South Africa and India.
The company is establishing its core project delivery department and operates within a collaborative, solution-oriented, chat-driven working environment using Zoom Chat. Team members have direct access to leadership and autonomy to influence company culture as the business scales.
THE ROLE: PROJECT MANAGER
We are seeking a high-performing, technical Project Manager based in South Africa, ideally Cape Town, to take ownership of end-to-end technical project delivery.
As the foundational member of the project delivery department, you will lead key client implementations, drive project migrations, and ensure deliverables are completed on time. The role focuses on seamless project execution across telephony, voice transformation, and contact centre environments.
This position requires an agile and proactive approach, leading from the front rather than relying on rigid processes.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES- Manage and deliver complex technical projects end-to-end, ensuring timelines and quality standards are strictly met.
- Lead key client implementations and project migrations.
- Ensure project deliverables are executed on time.
- Drive solution-focused problem solving throughout project implementation stages.
- Direct project communication and collaboration using Zoom Chat and modern collaboration tools.
- Adapt to flexible working requirements during critical project migration phases.
- Work UK business hours from 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with a 1-hour lunch, adjusting for UK Daylight Savings.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on Project Management experience, including required UK experience.
- Prince 2 or equivalent Project Management accreditation is essential.
- Proven technical project delivery background.
- Specific experience delivering telephony and/or contact centre projects.
- Experience delivering projects involving voice transformation.
- European project experience is preferred.
- Experience with cloud vendors such as Zoom, Cisco, Genesys, RingCentral, or Avaya is highly desirable.
- Flexible, adaptable, and solution-oriented mindset.
- Permanent position.
- 6-month probation period, which can be extended to 9 months if necessary.
- 25 days of annual leave plus 8 UK bank holidays.
