Senior Debtors & Creditors Clerk

Minimum Requirements

Minimum 10 years experience in a similar debtors & creditors role
Proven experience within a manufacturing environment (sheet metal advantageous)
Strong knowledge of accounts receivable and payable processes
Experience with credit control, collections and reconciliations
Proficient in ERP/accounting systems (Pastel, SAP, Syspro or similar)
Strong Excel skills
High level of accuracy and attention to detail
Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines

Key Responsibilities

Manage full debtors and creditors functions in a high-volume environment
Ensure timely collections and follow up on outstanding accounts
Process and reconcile supplier invoices, statements and payments
Perform monthly reconciliations of customer and supplier accounts
Monitor and report on cash flow, debtor aging and payment cycles
Handle credit control, including risk assessment and limit management
Investigate and resolve account discrepancies and queries efficiently
Support month-end and year-end financial processes
Maintain accurate financial records in line with audit and compliance requirements
Build and maintain strong relationships with customers and suppliers
Assist in improving financial processes and support junior staff where required
