Junior Accountant

A well-established accounting and tax advisory practice is seeking a motivated and dedicated Junior Accountant to join their team based in Greenstone, Johannesburg East.

This opportunity is ideally suited to a SAIPA-qualified professional who is eager to gain hands-on experience within an accounting firm environment while further developing their technical skills.

The successful candidate will assist with the preparation of financial statements, maintain accurate accounting records, and support the broader finance and tax team in delivering high-quality services to clients. This role offers excellent exposure to multiple clients and industries within a fast-paced professional services setting.

Key Responsibilities:

• Prepare and maintain accurate accounting records for various clients
• Assist with the preparation of financial statements and management reports
• Process journals, reconciliations, and month-end procedures
• Support the preparation of working papers and client files
• Work on accounting systems, including QuickBooks and Draftworx
• Assist with general accounting and compliance requirements
• Communicate with internal team members to ensure deadlines are met

Job Experience & Qualifications:

• BCom + SAIPA qualification (essential)
• Previous experience within an accounting or auditing firm environment beneficial
• Proficiency in QuickBooks and Draftworx
• Strong attention to detail and analytical ability
• Good organisational and time management skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work both independently and within a team environment
