About the Role
As an Electrical Design Engineer, you’ll play a key role in supporting the design and development of electrical systems and components using CAD and electrical design software. The company is open to training and developing the right candidate, making this an ideal role
for someone with foundational electrical knowledge who wants to progress their career in electrical engineering design.
Key Responsibilities- Produce and update electrical drawings, wiring diagrams, and schematics using CAD software.
- Assist in the design and development of electrical components, PCB layouts, and system integrations.
- Collaborate with senior engineers on electrical projects from concept to completion.
- Maintain design documentation, test specifications, and project records.
- Contribute to troubleshooting, testing, and continuous improvement in the electrical design function.
- A National Diploma (or higher) in Electrical Engineering or related discipline.
- 1–2 years’ experience using electrical AutoCAD.
- A strong interest in electrical systems design and willingness to learn.
- Attention to detail and a proactive, solution-oriented mindset.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Basic project management skills
- Exposure to sectors like solar energy, data centres, or food and beverage processing
- Structured training and mentorship to develop your electrical engineering design skills.
