Overview:
Our client in the FMCG industry is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Field Sales Manager to manage sales and merchandising operations in the George, Knysna, Stilbaai, Sedgefield, LadiSmith, Hartenbos, Wellington, and surrounding areas.This role is ideal for someone who thrives on finding new customers, building customer relationships, growing sales, leading people, and ensuring in-store excellence.
Minimum Requirements:
- Matric with Mathematics
- Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business, or related field - advantageous
- 3+ years' experience in FMCG sales or Account Management in retail
- Proven experience managing large and small retail accounts, and merchandising services
- Excellent relationship-building, negotiation, and interpersonal skills
- Proven organisation, planning, and problem-solving ability
- Must be able to converse fluently in Afrikaans (due to the market requirements)
- Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel
- Proficiency in Excel, ERP systems, and digital reporting tools
- Grow and maintain existing customer base
- Acquire new customers to expand market share
- Lead and manage a team of merchandisers
- Ensure accurate stock ordering and availability in stores
- Minimize returns through effective forecasting and stock rotation
- Execute promotions, displays, and in-store brand standards
- Report on sales, market trends, and team performance
