About the Programme
This apprenticeship provides hands-on exposure to electrical and mechanical maintenance within a manufacturing environment. Learners will gain practical experience while working alongside qualified professionals and developing strong technical skills.
What Youll Be Doing
Assist qualified Millwrights with maintenance and repair tasks
Participate in structured on-the-job training and classroom learning
Support fault finding, troubleshooting, and equipment repairs
Perform preventative maintenance under supervision
Learn to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics
Assist with machinery installations and modifications
Maintain safety standards and good housekeeping practices
Complete training logs and development records accurately
Develop problem-solving and technical skills in a team environment
Minimum Requirements
Grade 12 (Matric) with Mathematics and Physical Science OR
N2/N3 Technical qualification with relevant trade subjects
Basic understanding of mechanical and electrical principles
Strong interest in technical and engineering work
Added Advantages
Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Office)
Exposure to PLC / HMI systems
Ability to read technical drawings
Strong safety awareness and willingness to learn
