Description

Our Client in the Oil and Gas (Petroleum) Industry, based in Gauteng, is seeking a Sales Manager with previous experience in Business Development. The successful candidate MUST have Oil/Petroleum/Gas Industry experience.

Duties & Responsibilities
  1. Responsible for sales performance, maintaining and growing sales within the existing customer base and obtaining new sales from all other identified potential customers.
  2. Responsible for ensuring adherence to procedures on customer sales orders, specifications, pricing, payment terms and record keeping.
  3. Regular visits to allocated customers to build/maintain relationships and grow volumes.
  4. Gathering and reporting market information on allocated and new customers.
  5. Responsible for ensuring customers needs are met by obtaining the required support: technical, supply chain, pricing, credit management etc.
  6. Assistance with customer price management for existing customers
  7. Assistance with pricing for potential new customers
  8. Responsible for marketing of the divisions energy products to other existing and new customers formulating and growing a sales opportunity pipeline.
  9. Responsible for historical performance reviews and budgeting and forecasting for new sales performance targets.
  10. Assistance with customer credit management

Minimum Requirements

Diploma/Degree Sales/Technical

Essential:
  1. 5 years work experience in a Sales/ Business Development and or Technical role
  2. Demonstrated working experience within the petroleum (oil, gas, lubricating oils) or chemicals and related industries. (boiler/fuel oil/heating systems)
  3. Ability to maintain existing customer relationships and successfully develop new customers in other industry sectors/hunter mindset.
  4. Passionate about customer service delivery
  5. Ability to learn and self-develop in this role, Goal Orientated
  6. Has a strategic approach to business development and market expansion. Preferable: 7. Working with customers directly, able to negotiate & close deals.
  7. Able to leverage of networking and industry associates.
  8. Working knowledge of supply agreements/contracts
  9. Technical skills: Understanding of; i) fuel systems, boilers, equipment, and installations.
  10. Budgeting processes
  11. Basic Logistics and Supply Chain processes
