Location: Kempton Park
A leading provider in the technical and industrial sector is seeking a Sales Manager to establish and lead its sales and marketing function. This senior role requires strong leadership, technical knowledge, and a proven track record in driving revenue growth.
Key Responsibilities:
- Build and lead the sales and marketing department.
- Develop and implement comprehensive sales strategies aligned with business objectives.
- Lead, manage, and motivate a team of six sales professionals.
- Drive new business development and expand market share across South Africa and Africa.
- Collaborate with technical teams to deliver tailored solutions to clients.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to inform strategy.
- Report directly to senior leadership and represent the company at industry events.
- Occasional travel across Africa (3–4 times per year).
Candidate Profile:
- Proven track record in sales management, preferably within technical or industrial sectors.
- Strong leadership and people management skills.
- Solid understanding of technical products (lifting equipment, cranes, or related advantageous).
- Skilled in planning, executing, and monitoring sales strategies.
- Resilient personality with the ability to drive results in a competitive environment.
- Diploma/Degree in Sales or Marketing advantageous, but extensive experience prioritized.
- Immediate availability preferred.
