Senior packaging technician

Position: Permanent

A leading manufacturing and production company is seeking a skilled Senior Packaging Technician to oversee and improve packaging operations within a high-performance production environment.

This role is ideal for a technically strong and detail-driven professional who can ensure efficiency, reliability, and compliance across all packaging processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct daily inspections of automated and manual packaging equipment
• Perform fault finding and breakdown repairs
• Ensure machinery operates at optimal efficiency
• Monitor and manage spare parts and stock levels
• Respond to breakdowns, including after-hours support when required
• Coordinate and support packaging technicians
• Maintain and improve packaging machinery performance

Minimum Requirements:

• National Senior Certificate / NQF 4 equivalent
• Minimum 5 years technical maintenance experience
• Experience with automated packaging machinery (advantageous)
• Electrical or Maintenance Diploma (advantageous)
• Valid drivers licence and own transport
• Strong MS Office proficiency
