Barista

Description:

• Prepare and serve coffee, specialty beverages, and food items to company standards.
• Operate espresso machines, grinders, and other equipment safely and efficiently.
• Provide friendly, professional customer service at all times.
• Manage POS transactions, including handling cash and card payments.
• Maintain a clean and organized workstation, including equipment cleaning.
• Restock supplies such as milk, pastries, beans, and packaging materials.
• Follow all hygiene, food safety, and health regulations.
• Assist with opening and closing procedures.
• Upsell menu items and promote specials when appropriate.

Requirements:

• Previous Barista or café experience preferred (salary adjusted based on experience).
• Strong knowledge of espresso preparation, milk steaming, and coffee equipment.
• Excellent communication and customer service skills.
• Ability to work under pressure during busy periods.
• Reliable, punctual, and able to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
• High attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Basic maths and till-handling ability.
