Accountant (6 Months Contract)

Support monthly and year-end financial close processes

• Prepare monthly management accounts with analysis of food cost %, labour cost %, and profitability
• Oversee stock control, including counts, reconciliations, and variance investigation (wastage/shrinkage)
• Manage suppliers: invoice checks, reconciliations, payments, and cost negotiations
• Perform daily cash and bank reconciliations across POS and deposits
• Drive cost control initiatives, identifying inefficiencies and improving margins
• Maintain financial administration, including creditors, debtors, and statutory compliance
• Partner with operations, providing financial insight to support daily decisions
• Enforce strong internal controls across cash, stock, and operational processes
• Ensure system and reporting accuracy across POS, stock, and accounting platforms; identify process improvements

Skills & Experience:

• Full Accounting function
• Food and beverage (non-negotiable)

Qualification:

• Finance-related degree
