Financial Manager

Our client, a respected player in the oil and gas sector, is on the lookout for an experienced and analytical Financial Manager to join their team at their Braamfontein offices.

As the Financial Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing the full financial function of the company, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and strategic insight. Youll collaborate with executive leadership to shape the financial direction of the business and ensure sound decision-making rooted in solid data and analysis.

Duties:

• Oversee daily financial operations, including general ledger, accounts payable/receivable, and reconciliations
• Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports in line with IFRS and company policies
• Lead the budgeting and forecasting processes and monitor performance against financial targets
• Ensure tax compliance, manage statutory audits, and liaise with External Auditors
• Implement and maintain strong internal controls and risk management procedures
• Provide strategic financial insights to support business growth, cost management, and operational efficiency

Job Experience & Skills Required:

• Qualifications:
• Bachelors Degree in Accounting
• SAICA or SAIPA articles
• Experience:
• At least 4 years post-articles experience in a Financial Manager or senior accounting role
• Previous experience in or knowledge of the oil & gas, energy, or related industries preferred
