Junior Network System Support Administrator

• Provide technical systems support to all our clients by managing our existing national networks.
• Provide technical systems remote support for new highsite/s and end user installations and network infrastructure growth.
• Maintenance and management of network hardware infrastructure, firmware upgrades, wireless link frequency management.
• Managing ticket system and ensuring tickets are actioned and closed timeously.
• Liaising with upstream providers in event of any network failure or outage.
• Ensuring clients are always informed as to status of networks.
• Pro-actively working with clients and have good client communication skills is essential.
• Provide support when required in the event of an outage/failure even after business hours.
• Updating of network monitoring systems and technical administration.
• After hours/weekend remote support on adhoc roster basis.

Minimum requirements:

• You must have worked as an ISP systems administrator for at least 6 months and you must reside in Gauteng, preferably near Midrand.
• You must be a self driven administrator who is able to schedule your own daily workload, meet client systems support challenges and be a team player.
• You will be part of a team that supports our ISP initiative.
• You will be required to provide standby remote support over weekends and public holidays. This support is on a roster basis and you will be required to be on standby approximately once a month. Weekend support costs are paid for.
• You must be healthy and have a work hard, play hard attitude.
• You must have a valid drivers licence and own transport is essential.
• A basic working knowledge of Cambium, Mikrotik and Ubiquiti equipment is essential.
• Your basic understanding BGP, OSPF and network routing will also be an advantage.
• Prepared to travel when necessary.
