Junior Accountant and Accountant

A dynamic organisation is seeking a Junior Accountant and Accountant to join their finance team and support the day-to-day financial operations of the business.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with numbers, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is eager to gain exposure to a broad range of accounting functions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Capture and process supplier invoices and credit notes
- Post journal entries and maintain the general ledger
- Reconcile bank accounts, supplier statements, and petty cash
- Assist with payment runs and remittance advice
- Follow up on outstanding customer accounts
- Match purchase orders, delivery notes, and invoices
- Assist with monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Prepare reconciliations and support audit preparation
- Maintain accurate financial records and filing systems
- Provide administrative and ad-hoc support to the finance team
Requirements:
- Bachelors degree in Accounting
- Minimum 1 - 3 years relevant accounting or finance experience (internships included)
- Basic understanding of IFRS and accounting principles
- Strong MS Excel skills (VLOOKUP and Pivot Tables advantageous)
- Completed articles (advantagous)
- Experience with Xero or similar accounting software is beneficial
- High attention to detail and strong numerical ability
- Good analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Strong time management and organisational abilities
- Eagerness to learn and grow within the accounting profession
