Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Job Description:

• Create and oversee electrical system designs, including both 3D wiring layouts and 2D schematic drawings
• Develop and manage wiring harness designs using 3D CAD and schematic tools
• Incorporate electrical components into wider system architectures
• Review project scope and control timelines to ensure successful project execution
• Compile and maintain bills of materials along with associated 3D assemblies
• Administer product data within PDM systems such as Teamcenter
• Ensure all designs meet supplier requirements and relevant regulatory standards
• Enhance designs to improve cost efficiency, manufacturability, installation, and maintenance
• Lead and contribute to concept development and design review sessions
• Work closely with suppliers and stakeholders to refine and complete designs
• Evaluate design outputs against customer specifications and engineering standards
• Work collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to ensure seamless system integration

Skills & Experience:

• 7+ years experience in electrical design
• Strong 3D CAD and schematic design experience (NX advantageous)
• Proven experience with wiring harness and electrical system design
• Knowledge of PDM systems (e.g. Teamcenter)
• Strong project management and organisational skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
• Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement skills
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving ability

Qualification:

• Minimum BEng / BSc / in Electrical Engineering
