Financial Manager

The role is ideal if you enjoy making a difference within the financial department. You will oversee the organization's financial operations, driving strategic growth through budgeting, forecasting and analysis while ensuring regulatory compliance and optimizing cash flow.

Provide actionable insights to senior leadership, manage teams and mitigate financial risks to ensure long-term profitability.

Requirements:

  • Matric with relevant financial qualification, Degree/Diploma
  • Minimum of 8 years relevant working experience as Financial Manager
  • Certifications to your advantage
  • Strong Excel and other suitable software experience and skills

Duties:

  • Full finance functions including general ledger, accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll oversight and financial record-keeping
  • Oversee small finance team - wages, debtors clerk, bookkeeper
  • Prepare monthly management accounts, including month-end journals and reconciliations
  • Lead, supervise, and develop a finance team - ensuring accuracy, efficiency and strong internal controls
  • Prepare annual budgets and deliver monthly variance analysis and reporting for management and directors
  • Manage cashflow forecasting and optimisation in close collaboration with directors
  • Reconcile and maintain intercompany loan accounts, intercompany debtors and creditors
  • Calculate and submit monthly VAT returns for all group entities
  • Calculate and submit monthly payroll tax - EMP201
  • Prepare bi-annual and annual EMP501 reconciliations and issue IRP5 certificates
  • Prepare small audit files and act as primary liaison during external audits conducted on-site
  • Ensure ongoing statutory and regulatory compliance across all finance functions
