Compliance Team Leader

ROLE PURPOSE:

The Quality Assurance Team Leader is responsible for leading and managing the implementation, monitoring, and continuous improvement of food safety and quality systems and processes across all catering operations.

This role ensures full compliance with regulatory, customer and internal standards, while proactively identifying risks, driving corrective and preventative actions, and safeguarding product integrity and passenger safety.

The candidate will partner closely with Operations and act as the sites food safety champion to ensure audit readiness, traceability, and consistent quality delivery.

QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

• Degree or Diploma in Food Science, Microbiology,

• Minimum 6-8 years experience in food safety/quality assurance, with at least 2 years in a

• HACCP Level 3 or higher (essential)
• Food Safety Level 4 (essential or in progress)
• Supplier Auditing experience
• . Experience with third party audits (e.g., ISO 22000, FSSC22000, Suppliers, airline/customer audits)
• Strong knowledge of South African food safety regulations and international standards
• . Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
