The Future of Mining is Digital. Are you Leading the Charge? Sapientis is recruiting a Technical Account Manager (TAM) for a global leader in integrated mining technology. This is a high-impact, customer-facing role responsible for ensuring that the worlds largest mining operations realize the full value of their digital transformation investments.
As the single point of accountability, you will combine technical expertise with commercial acumen to drive solution adoption, maximize ROI, and strengthen long-term partnerships across the EMEA, India, and Central Asia regions.
Key Responsibilities- Customer Value Realization: Serve as the primary contact for key accounts, developing strategic roadmaps to ensure technology adoption and measurable ROI.
- Performance Assurance: Lead technical initiatives and on-site audits to optimize system usage, operator adoption, and infrastructure readiness.
- Strategic Data Analysis: Analyse mine operations data (fleet utilization, productivity, cycle effectiveness) to identify and close performance gaps.
- Commercial Growth: Identify and develop new revenue streams through the upselling and cross-selling of digital solutions and value-added services.
- Technical Leadership: Lead monthly steering committee meetings and high-level performance reviews with customer executives.
- Global Collaboration: Coordinate across Sales, Technical Services, and Customer Success teams to ensure seamless lifecycle support.
- Education: Degree in Mining Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or Computer Science. (Project Management or SaaS certifications are a plus).
- Experience: 10+ years of total experience in mining or mining technology, with at least 58 years specifically focused on Fleet Management Systems (FMS) or Mining Operations.
- Technical Expertise: Deep knowledge of integrated mining technology, SaaS/Cloud-based subscription models, and mine planning.
- Interpersonal Skills: Proven ability to influence stakeholders at the executive level and drive change within diverse, cross-functional teams.
- Travel: Ability to travel up to 40 - 50% of the time across Africa, Central Asia, India, and other international sites.
- Systems: Proficiency in CRM tools (Salesforce) and advanced data analytics.
