Internal Sales Representative

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide fast and accurate technical quotations via phone and email
• Proactively follow up on enquiries and quotations
• Identify new opportunities and conduct cold calling to grow the customer base
• Process customer orders efficiently through the internal system
• Manage back-orders and ensure timely communication with clients
• Build and maintain strong relationships with contractors and regular customers to increase account spend
• Provide expert product advice on switchgear, lighting, cables, and related electrical products
• Source non-stock items from external suppliers as required
• Assist customers in selecting suitable solutions based on their needs
• Assist at the trade counter with walk-in customers
• Handle returns and customer queries professionally
• Collaborate with Field Sales Representatives on tenders and site visit coordination

Requirements:

• Previous experience in an electrical wholesale environment is essential
• Strong technical understanding of electrical products (switchgear, lighting, cable, etc.)
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to multitask and perform well under pressure
• Strong administrative and organisational skills
• Fully bilingual in Afrikaans and English
