Leisure Travel Consultant

Location: Tygervalley, Cape Town

Minimum Qualifications:

• Matric
• Diploma or Certificate in Travel and Tourism would be advantageous
• Minimum 1 year experience in sales or travel sales
• Excellent communication skills
• Strong sales and customer service skills
• Work well under pressure and tight deadlines
• Knowledge of the Amadeus system would be advantageous
• Proficient in use of reservation systems
• Passion for travel and knowledge of popular travel destinations
• Must be open to working weekends and public holidays

Roles and Responsibilities:

• Build and maintain strong relationships with customers to ensure repeat business and referrals
• Design and sell customised travel itineraries to meet individual travel preferences, budgets and needs
• Provide expert advise on travel destinations, including visas and travel insurance
• Maximize sales opportunities through upselling, cross selling and promoting the companys preferred partners
• Maintain accurate records and client details, using the companys operational systems
• Manage customer complaints and queries in an efficient and professional manner
• Keep up to date with industry trends
