Position Specification: Mid - Level Attorney
Area: Durbanville - Western CApe
Experience Requirements:
- Minimum 2 to 4 years’ post-admission experience
Mandatory Requirements:
- Must be admitted as an Attorney in South Africa
- Proven ability to work independently and manage own matters with minimal supervision
- Practical experience in General Litigation
Preferred Experience:
- Prior exposure to or expertise in Construction Law will be highly regarded
Other Requirements:
- Must possess a reliable personal vehicle for work-related travel
- Bilingual proficiency in Afrikaans and English (read, write, and speak)
- Candidate must currently reside in Pretoria or Centurion areas
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and run own caseload across general litigation matters independently
- Advise clients on legal aspects with a focus on construction-related law and civil disputes
- Draft, prepare, and review legal documents and contracts relevant to construction and litigation
- Attend court, mediation, and arbitration sessions as required
- Maintain professional client relationships and support colleagues when necessary
Important Attributes:
- Self-starter requiring minimal supervision
- Excellent verbal and written communication in both Afrikaans & English
- Strong client service orientation
- Ability to travel locally with own vehicle
