Job Description:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to ensure a consistent and cost-effective supply of key products
- Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers and identify opportunities to expand the supplier network
- Negotiate pricing and commercial agreements to achieve favorable outcomes for the business
- Manage day-to-day procurement activities to ensure operational requirements are met
- Monitor market trends and supplier performance to identify risks and opportunities
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to forecast demand and align procurement plans with business objectives
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company policies, industry regulations, and quality standards
- Analyze procurement data and prepare reports to support strategic decision-making
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance procurement processes and operational efficiency
- Lead, mentor, and support the procurement team to achieve departmental objectives
Skills & Experience:
- Agriculture/ Meat Industry exposure NON-NEGOTIABLE
- 5+ years' procurement experience
- 5+ years' management experience
- Afrikaans speaking
- Knowledge and awareness of trends in the meat industry
- Marketing and Sales
- Financial Awareness
- Detail focused
Qualification:
- Diploma/ Degree in Farming & Agriculture NON-NEGOTIABLE
