This role is responsible for leading a multi-skilled maintenance team to deliver both proactive and reactive services across all operational equipment and facilities infrastructure. You will take ownership of maintenance planning, contractor management, compliance, and asset performance, ensuring minimal downtime and optimal lifecycle management.

With a strong focus on preventative maintenance and operational efficiency, you will play a critical role in maintaining guest satisfaction and supporting business continuity.

You will work closely with operational leadership, finance, and HR to manage budgets, implement cost-saving initiatives, and drive performance across the maintenance function. From overseeing HVAC and refrigeration systems to ensuring compliance with health and safety standards, this is a hands-on leadership role requiring both strategic oversight and technical depth.

What You’ll Do
  • Lead and manage all maintenance operations across the complex
  • Oversee preventative and reactive maintenance programmes
  • Maintain critical infrastructure including water, electrical, HVAC, gas, and drainage systems
  • Manage contractors and ensure quality, compliance, and performance standards
  • Conduct inspections to ensure adherence to building regulations and health and safety standards
  • Drive energy-saving and cost-efficiency initiatives
  • Manage departmental budgets, financial reporting, and cost controls
  • Supervise, develop, and optimise team performance and staffing levels
  • Ensure effective use of facility management systems and reporting tools
  • Collaborate with operations to ensure seamless guest experience
What You Bring
  • Matric with technical qualification or completed apprenticeship
  • Relevant engineering or manufacturing degree preferred
  • Minimum 5 years’ artisan experience
  • Minimum 5 years’ management or supervisory experience
  • Strong technical background in maintenance and facilities management
  • Experience within a casino or hotel environment advantageous
  • Solid financial acumen and budgeting experience
  • Strong planning, organisational, and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communication and leadership capability
  • Knowledge of health and safety regulations and compliance standards
