Head of Finance

Job Description: Leading and overseeing the finance function, ensuring accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting

Driving revenue growth and margin improvement through cost control, efficiency initiatives, and brand-level performance optimisation aligned to the organizations targets

Delivering proactive, insight-driven financial analysis and KPI reporting to support executive decision-making

Providing clear monthly reporting to the Chief Financial Officer and leadership team, highlighting trends, risks, and opportunities
Overseeing the end-to-end financial planning cycle, including budgeting, forecasting, reforecasting, and cashflow management
Leading cost optimisation discussions with external providers (banks, auditors, merchant providers, consultants etc.
Overseeing cash management, investment strategies, foreign currency exposure, and key financial ratios to optimise liquidity and financial stability
Maintaining overall accountability for financial governance, risk management, and regulatory compliance across all financial activities
Acting as the primary finance representative to key internal and external stakeholders

Ensuring compliance with cross-border regulatory requirements (e.g. SARB approvals)

Skills & Experience: Minimum 8 - 10 years experience in the commercial space

Minimum 3 5 years in a senior leadership role (e.g., Financial Manager, Senior Finance Manager, or similar)
Multi-country and multi-currency accounting (advantageous)
Proven experience engaging with stakeholders, banks, and external stakeholders
Exposure to treasury and cashflow management
Entrepreneurial and commercial thinking

Forex exposure and managing the risk strategy around foreign exchange and investments (non-negotiable)

Qualification: CA (SA)
