Procurement Buyer - Vanderbijlpark
In this role, you will be responsible for sourcing, purchasing, and acquiring goods and services required by the organisation. The position plays a vital role in ensuring cost-effective procurement, maintaining supplier relationships, and supporting the efficiency of the supply chain.
ResponsibilitiesSource and evaluate suppliers to ensure quality, price, and reliability
Negotiate pricing, terms, and conditions with suppliers
Prepare and process purchase orders in line with policies
Monitor orders to ensure timely delivery and resolve discrepancies
Collaborate with internal departments to align procurement with business needs
Maintain accurate procurement records and generate reports
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate timely replenishment
Assess and manage supplier performance, quality, and compliance
Identify opportunities to reduce costs while maintaining standards
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, legal, and ethical standards
RequirementsMatric plus relevant qualification (Degree/Certificate/Diploma)
Minimum 1 year proven procurement/buying experience is non-negotiable
Strong communication and negotiation skills
Ability to build and maintain supplier relationships
Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
Strong organisational skills and attention to detail
