A highly respected logistics company with industry excellence is looking for a Financial Accountant / Bookkeeper to join their finance team in Johannesburg East. Specialising in import/export, freight forwarding, logistical management, and cold chain solutions, this business plays a critical role in supply chains across South Africa.
This is an exciting opportunity for a finance professional with 25 years experience who enjoys working in a highâvolume, fastâpaced environment and wants handsâon exposure to the full finance function.
Minimum Requirements:
- 25 years experience as a Financial Accountant or Bookkeeper
- Strong understanding of the full finance function
- Experience in logistics, transport, manufacturing, or highâvolume environments (highly advantageous)
- Excellent attention to detail
- Ability to work accurately under pressure and meet deadlines
Key Responsibilities:
- Managing the full financial function
- Preparation and review of financial reports
- Managing general ledger accounts and performing reconciliations
- Processing and reviewing bank statements
- Overseeing creditors and debtors
- Assisting with monthâend and yearâend processes
- Ensuring compliance with financial policies, procedures, and internal controls
