Senior Financial Accountant CA(SA)
A forward-thinking organisation, within the specialty chemicals and industrial water treatment industry, is seeking to appoint a skilled and detail-oriented Senior Financial Accountant to join their finance team. This role offers the flexibility of a fully remote working environment while supporting operations based in Benoni.
This opportunity is ideally suited to a CA(SA) with 23 years post-qualification experience who thrives in a dynamic environment and enjoys taking ownership of financial reporting, compliance, and process improvement initiatives.
The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining financial integrity, supporting business decisions through accurate reporting, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities:
- Prepare and review monthly management accounts and financial reports
- Ensure compliance with IFRS and statutory reporting requirements
- Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis
- Manage balance sheet reconciliations and maintain strong financial controls
- Support the preparation of annual financial statements and external audits
- Identify and implement improvements to financial processes and reporting systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support strategic and operational decision-making
Job Experience & Qualifications:
- CA(SA) qualification (non-negotiable)
- 23 years post-qualification experience with Group/ large companies
- Strong understanding of financial reporting and IFRS
- Experience within manufacturing, chemicals, engineering, or related industries advantageous
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and organisational abilities
- Ability to work independently within a remote environment and manage deadlines effectively
- US GAAP experience
