Senior Actuarial Analyst
Our client operates within the financial services and insurance space and is known for its strong actuarial capability and data-led decision-making culture. The Senior Actuarial Analyst role forms part of a collaborative actuarial team responsible for pricing, model development, and monitoring key business performance metrics.
In this role, you will work cross-functionally with Product, Sales, and Marketing teams, translating complex actuarial outputs into practical commercial insights. You will be involved across the full actuarial control cycle and will play a key role in shaping pricing strategies and product performance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Develop, maintain, and implement actuarial pricing and valuation models that are accurate, robust, and fit for purpose
- Lead actuarial model deployment, including impact and sensitivity analysis, testing, and post-deployment monitoring
- Translate actuarial findings into clear, actionable insights for business stakeholders
- Implement and manage the actuarial control cycle (development, deployment, and monitoring)
- Manage key business metrics including value of new business, embedded value, and profit by product line
- Support product development and pricing initiatives and ensure alignment with experienced assumptions
- Mentor and coach junior analysts, supporting their technical growth and process automation
Job Experience and Skills Required:
- Education:
- Bachelors or Honours degree in Actuarial Science or a related field (essential)
- Qualified Actuary or making strong progress towards actuarial qualification (essential)
- Experience:
- Minimum of 3 years' actuarial experience within the financial services or insurance industry
- Strong exposure to actuarial modelling, pricing, and experience investigations
- Experience engaging with non-technical stakeholders and translating actuarial outputs into business insights
- Skills:
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Strong analytical and problem-solving capability
- Experience working with complex data sets and actuarial models
- Excellent documentation and communication skills
- Non-negotiables:
- Strong understanding of actuarial governance, professional standards, and regulatory requirements
- Willingness and ability to mentor junior team members
