HR Administrator / HR Assistant – Luxury Lodge (Fixed-Term Contract) Outside Nelpsruit Mpumalanga | 5-Month Fixed-Term Contract | Live-In Position
About the Role
A prestigious 5-star luxury safari lodge in the Outside Nelspruit a Game Reserve is seeking an experienced and professional HR Administrator / HR Assistant to join their team on a fixed-term contract basis. This is a live-in, lodge-based position set within one of South Africa's most iconic Big Five wilderness destinations.
Working Roster
This is a rotational position: 6 weeks on / 2 weeks off. Accommodation and meals are provided at the lodge during your working rotation.
Key Responsibilities- General HR administration and record-keeping
- Maintaining and updating employee files and HR databases
- Assisting with onboarding and induction of new staff
- Leave administration and tracking
- Support with payroll preparation and time and attendance
- Drafting HR correspondence and communications
- Ensuring compliance with labour legislation and lodge HR policies
- Supporting management with any employee relations matters
- Relevant HR qualification (Diploma or Degree in HR Management or related field)
- Minimum 2 years' experience in an HR administration role
- Strong knowledge of South African labour law
- Proficient in MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook)
- Experience in hospitality or lodge environments will be advantageous
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- High level of discretion and professionalism
- Must be comfortable living on-site in a remote bush environment
