Workshop Manager

Minimum Requirements:

• Qualified tradesman (e.g., Diesel Mechanic, Auto Electrician, Fitter, or similar trade)
• Proven workshop management or supervisory experience
• Strong leadership and team management skills
• Solid technical troubleshooting and problem-solving ability
• Good planning, organisational, and communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
• Valid drivers licence

Location Requirement:

• Must reside in Honeydew, Johannesburg, or be willing to relocate to the area.

Preferred:

• Experience managing workshops within the construction, mining, or heavy equipment industry
• Strong administrative and reporting skills

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee the daily operations of the workshop
• Supervise, lead, and support workshop technicians and staff
• Plan, schedule, and allocate work to ensure efficient turnaround times
• Ensure all maintenance, repairs, and servicing are completed to high standards
• Maintain strict adherence to safety and quality procedures
• Monitor workshop productivity and implement improvements where needed
• Manage job cards, reporting, and documentation related to workshop activities
• Liaise with management and other departments regarding operational requirements
• Ensure tools, equipment, and facilities are properly maintained
