We are recruiting for a Financial Manager (CA(SA)) within a well-established insurance business based in Johannesburg. The role is suited to a commercially astute finance professional who can balance strong technical IFRS expertise with people leadership, stakeholder engagement, and strategic insight.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the end-to-end financial management function, including reporting, budgeting, and forecasting
- Oversee IFRS-compliant financial statements within a regulated insurance environment
- Manage and develop a high-performing finance team
- Partner with executive, actuarial, and risk teams to support business decisions
- Drive audit processes, regulatory submissions, and governance compliance
- Identify process improvements and enhance financial controls
Job Experience & Skills Required:
- CA(SA) qualification
- Proven experience as a Financial Manager or strong second-in-command ready to step up
- Solid insurance sector exposure
- Advanced IFRS knowledge and technical accounting capability
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
