Financial Accountant
CA Financial Appointments Cape Town
A globally recognised asset manager is looking to appoint a Financial Accountant on a 12-month fixed-term contract within their Cape Town-based finance team. This opportunity offers strong international exposure, working across South Africa, the UK and Hong Kong, within a dynamic and high-performing environment.
This role is well suited to a technically strong CA(SA) looking to gain exposure to a global business, while contributing meaningfully across financial reporting, regulatory compliance and core finance processes.
What you will be doing- Taking ownership of accounting, tax and statutory reporting for various entities
- Preparing board packs and regulatory returns
- Managing month-end accounting processes
- Producing monthly management reports
- Drafting Annual Financial Statements
- Preparing and submitting VAT returns
- Liaising with auditors during year-end processes
- Working with external tax providers on annual tax submissions
- Reviewing and approving accounts payable batches
- Supporting ad hoc projects and process improvements
- Keeping up to date with IFRS, tax and regulatory developments
- Collaborating with both local and international finance teams
- CA(SA) qualification
- Strong technical IFRS knowledge
- Previous financial or management accounting experience
- Experience with VAT and statutory reporting
- Ability to interpret and implement regulatory and accounting changes
- High attention to detail with a hands-on approach
- Experience with Oracle Fusion or Hyperion Essbase would be advantageous
- 12-month contract within a globally recognised asset manager
