Environmental Science Intern

About the role: We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Environmental Science graduate to join our team as an intern.

Responsibilities:

• Assist in collecting and analyzing environmental data (e.g., emissions, waste, and water usage)
• Support environmental audits and compliance assessments
• Prepare reports, presentations, and dashboards using Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
• Conduct research on environmental regulations, best practices, and emerging trends
• Help develop and maintain databases for tracking environmental performance
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams on sustainability projects

• South African Unemployed youth between the ages of 18 and 34.
• Must not have participated on the YES programme before.
• Grade 12
• Recent graduate in Environmental Science, or related field
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint )
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy
• Passion for environmental sustainability and continuous learning
