This is a specialist lender focused on family law cases, such as divorce settlements, and probate cases involving estate distribution after death. The company provides short-term funding to clients who are waiting for legal outcomes but need cash flow.

The Role: Loan Operations Manager

The focus is on owning the performance of the live loan book and the quality of information that underpins credit and funder reporting.

• Provide functional leadership to the Case Management Lead and Recoveries Lead, setting direction, driving accountability, and managing performance.
• Own the loan book day-to-day, ensuring all material cases are actively managed and risks are identified early.
• Build a more scalable Loan Operations function by improving processes, workflows, and system usage, specifically within Salesforce.
• Drive case-level inputs into credit and funder reporting to ensure portfolio reporting reflects the true risk position.
• Apply a risk-weighted view across the portfolio to prioritize time and resources based on exposure, risk, and likely outcomes.
• Define strategies for complex or high-risk cases, including deciding between pursuing or settling and ensuring execution aligns with outcomes.
• Improve recovery decisions and cost control, including risk and cost analysis of enforcement actions and oversight of legal spend.

• Possess experience in a case-based, analytical, or operational role, such as credit, lending, consulting, restructuring, or operations.
• Demonstrate a track record of owning outcomes and improving them by spotting what could work better and following through to delivery.
• Provide a clear example of bringing structure or efficiency to a process, workflow, or case portfolio.
• Exhibit strong judgement with the ability to make consequential decisions using incomplete or evolving information.
• Ability to identify and assess risk proactively and act before issues escalate.
• Maintain clear and structured communication to distill complex, multi-variable situations into simple, actionable conclusions.
• Comfortable challenging assumptions across teams and functions to improve outcomes.
• Demonstrated use of AI to summarize, structure, or interrogate complex information to create recommendations.
• Experience applying AI tools to improve reporting or operational workflows and comfort working alongside these tools daily.
• Experience in lending, financial services, or legal environments.
• Exposure to recoveries, restructuring, or enforcement processes.
• Experience working with loan management systems or operational workflows.
• Background in consulting or fast-scaling businesses.
