This is a role for someone who has been in the retail trenches. Youve reconciled tills, handled stock numbers, survived peak trading and still trust Excel with your life.
What youll be doing (aka your daily adventure)- Reconciling daily sales, cash, card and store reports
- Processing journals, creditors and basic debtors
- Assisting with month-end and management accounts
- Supporting retail stores with queries that start with "just a quick one"
- Keeping things accurate, tidy and audit-ready
This will suit you if:
- You have junior accounting experience in retail (non-negotiable)
- Youre organised, curious and quietly allergic to mistakes
- You like structure but can handle the chaos of retail trade
- Youre based in Cape Town and want to grow your accounting career
