The Role: Business Development Manager

The Business Development Manager will be responsible for generating new business opportunities while nurturing existing client relationships across the UK property finance sector. Working closely with prospects, clients, and industry introducers, you will build a strong pipeline through outbound calling, email marketing, social engagement, and relationship-led business development.

The role requires a commercially minded individual with a proven track record of achieving KPIs, generating opportunities, and developing business within UK-facing markets. The first month will focus on learning the business, products, services, and internal processes before transitioning into full business development activities.

Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate a proven track record of achieving business development, sales, or lead generation KPIs within a UK-focused environment
  • Generate new business opportunities through outbound calling, email outreach, social selling, and networking activities
  • Contact and develop relationships with property investors and property developers
  • Build, maintain, and manage opportunity pipelines within HubSpot
  • Conduct regular engagement with existing clients to identify new opportunities and strengthen relationships
  • Develop and expand an introducer network including architects, estate agents, HMO mentors, and other relevant industry contacts
  • Execute targeted prospecting campaigns using purchased prospect databases
  • Connect with prospects and clients through social media channels
  • Prepare and distribute email marketing campaigns, product updates, and business communications
  • Maintain accurate records of all business development activity and pipeline progression
  • Collaborate with the wider team to achieve company growth objectives
About You
  • 3+ years of business development, sales, lead generation, or account growth experience
  • Proven experience working with UK-based clients, customers, or prospects
  • Demonstrable history of meeting or exceeding sales and business development KPIs
  • Strong outbound calling experience with confidence engaging decision-makers
  • Excellent verbal and written English communication skills with a clear, neutral accent
  • Experience using CRM systems, preferably HubSpot
  • Strong relationship-building and networking capabilities
  • Highly proactive with the ability to identify opportunities and take initiative
  • Hunter mentality with a passion for winning new business
  • Comfortable working independently within a fully remote environment
  • Strong organisational and pipeline management skills
  • Proficient in English and Mathematics
  • Positive attitude, collaborative mindset, and good sense of humour
