Junior Buyer (Jet Park)

Experience: 1–2 years preferred in a similar industry

Our client, a well-established company in the steel, roofing, or metals industry, is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Buyer to join their procurement team. Key Responsibilities:

• Assist the senior buyer with day-to-day purchasing activities, including sourcing and ordering stock
• Support the buying of steel coils, roofing materials, and sheeting
• Liaise with suppliers to obtain quotes, confirm delivery dates, and track orders
• Maintain accurate purchase records and update internal systems
• Coordinate with warehouse and factory teams to monitor stock levels and manage reordering
• Ensure timely and cost-effective procurement of materials
• Help manage supplier relationships and evaluate performance

Requirements:

• Preferably 1–2 years’ experience in a buying or procurement support role, ideally within the steel, roofing, or metals industry
• Matric (Grade 12) is essential; a relevant qualification in procurement or supply chain is an advantage
• Strong administrative and organizational skills
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and ERP or procurement systems
• Ability to work well in a fast-paced, factory and warehouse setting
