Job Description

Our client is seeking an experienced Assistant Management Couple to join their new luxury Game Lodge in Mpumalanga. The ideal couple will bring proven 4/5-star game lodge experience, strong operational expertise and a passion for delivering exceptional guest experiences.

Key Responsibilities:

Him:

• Oversee reserve management and conservation practices
• Supervise maintenance operations across lodge facilities and equipment
• Manage Food & Beverage (F&B) service, including menu planning, stock control and supplier relations
• Ensure compliance with health, safety and HACCP standards
• Lead and train operational staff to maintain service excellence

Her:

• Manage Front of House (FOH) operations, ensuring seamless guest service
• Oversee housekeeping standards, room inspections and staff scheduling
• Handle administration, including reservations, reporting and payroll support
• Coordinate guest arrivals/departures and ensure personalized hospitality
• Support marketing and guest relations initiatives

Qualifications

Him:

• Minimum 5 years experience in luxury game lodge or resort operations
• Strong knowledge of wildlife reserve management and eco-tourism practices
• Proven ability in maintenance oversight and technical problem-solving
• F&B management experience, including costing and supplier negotiations

Her:

• Minimum 5 years experience in luxury lodge or resort guest services
• Strong background in hospitality administration and FOH management
• Proven ability to lead and motivate housekeeping and FOH teams

• Leadership, communication and staff training skills
• Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
