Regional Finance Manager

Our client is looking for a Regional Financial Manager to maintain compliance with legal requirements, maximize financial performance, and support strategic business goals while managing and supervising the financial operations of 8 branches within a given territory.

Key Responsibilities:

• Manage the entire region's financial operations, including the general ledger, cashbook, creditors, and debtors.
• Create and examine variance analysis, flash results, and monthly management accounts.
• Make sure that year-end and month-end close procedures are accurate and timely.
• Examine balance sheets and income statements, offering analysis and insights.
• Audit and Compliance:
• Make sure that all legal requirementssuch as income tax, VAT, and PAYEare followed.
• Oversee internal audits and assess branch adherence to internal control initiatives.
• Create year-end audit packs and communicate with outside auditors.
• Oversee the preparation and evaluation of the payroll.
• Approve bank account payments.
• Attend branch stock takes and perform monthly stock/inventory reconciliations.
• Perform monthly evaluations of debtors.
• Conduct management evaluations with regional executives and general managers.
• Give branch administrative workers financial advice and training.
• Visit branches to conduct audits and reviews.
• Ad Hoc Evaluation:
• When senior management requests it, prepare reports and analyses.
• Encourage cost-cutting and strategic initiatives.

Experience:

• CA(SA) or equivalent professional qualification.
• Minimum 5 years in financial management, preferably in a regional or multi-branch environment.
• Strong exposure compliance, audits and operational finance.

Skills:

• Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Outstanding leadership and communication skills.
• Knowledge with Microsoft Office and ERP systems (Excel is crucial).
• The capacity to travel widely within the area.
• A meticulous and strategic thinker.
• The capacity to handle several priorities under duress.
• Cooperative and capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels.
