Key responsibilities
- Production and Operations: Manage all aspects of manufacturing operations, including production planning, inventory control, quality assurance, and compliance with safety regulations.
- Financial Management: Oversee budgets, monitor financial data, and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to improve profitability and control costs.
- Process Improvement: Develop and implement strategies to enhance operational efficiency, reduce waste, and improve product quality and cycle times.
- Staff Management: Recruit, train, supervise, and support a team to meet performance targets and maintain efficiency.
- Strategic Planning: Develop and execute strategic operational plans, working with other departments to ensure alignment with company goals.
- Reporting and Analysis: Monitor and report on KPIs and financial metrics to the executive team, using data to drive decision-making.
- Experience: Proven experience in operations management, preferably in a manufacturing environment, with a strong financial background.
- Financial Skills: Proficiency in budgeting, forecasting, cost control, and financial data analysis.
- Technical Skills: Experience with process improvement methodologies (like operational excellence) and project management. Familiarity with ERP systems and relevant finance software is often required.
- Leadership and Communication: Strong leadership ability and excellent communication skills to manage teams and collaborate with other departments.
- Analytical and Organizational Skills: Strong analytical skills to interpret data and outstanding organizational skills to manage complex processes.
- Education: A bachelor''s degree in Business, Operations Management, or a related field is often preferred.
