They operate both a physical showroom based in Somerset West and a comprehensive online store servicing customers nationwide.The company focuses on providing high-quality gear for outdoor, astronomy, and photography enthusiasts.
The Role: Personal Assistant / Marketing Assistant
The purpose of this role is to support the General Manager in the day-to-day running of the business through a hybrid administrative and marketing support function. This position exists to assist with general PA duties, office administration, website administration, and basic digital marketing tasks, ensuring that promotions are implemented accurately and daily business operations run smoothly.
Key Responsibilities- Assist the General Manager with daily administrative tasks and manage and update calendars.
- Schedule meetings and appointments, while assisting with reminders, follow-ups, and general coordination.
- Maintain organised records, documents, and filing systems alongside general office administration.
- Restock consumables and place orders for office supplies where needed.
- Assist with general website administration, including uploading website banners and maintaining product feeds to ensure content is accurate.
- Support basic digital marketing administration, Google Ads-related tasks, and online sales campaign setup.
- Coordinate promotional material and work with the team to ensure promotions are implemented on time.
- Support internal teams with administrative tasks where required.
- Matric/Grade 12 qualification is required.
- Demonstrate general computer literacy with the ability to learn systems quickly.
- Possess excellent attention to detail and fluent communication skills in both Afrikaans and English.
- Demonstrate strong organisational, time management, and proactive problem-solving skills.
- Maintain a positive, optimistic, professional attitude with the ability to handle confidential information responsibly and work full-time from the Somerset West office.
- Experience as a PA, administrator, office assistant, HR assistant, marketing assistant, or ecommerce assistant is highly advantageous.
- Experience with Google Ads, Magento, ecommerce platforms, website administration, product feeds, website banners, or online sales campaigns is advantageous but training will be provided.
- Experience working with spreadsheets, documents, calendars, and online systems is advantageous.
- Additional qualifications in administration, HR, marketing, business, or ecommerce are advantageous.
