About the Role
Our client is seeking a reliable, punctual, and highly organized Motorbike Delivery Driver to safely transport packages, stock, and branch transfers to specified locations. Operating under pressure to meet tight schedules, you will be responsible for ensuring that all items are securely handled, routes are efficiently planned, and delivery documentation is perfectly maintained.
Key Responsibilities- Safe Transit & Delivery: Pick up and deliver various packages, goods, and branch transfers to specified locations strictly according to instructions.
- Route Planning & Verification: Verify all addresses and delivery details before departure to eliminate errors. Carefully plan travel routes using GPS devices to ensure timely arrivals.
- Cargo Security: Properly secure all packages and items to prevent any shifting or damage during transit.
- Documentation & Admin: Obtain recipient signatures upon successful delivery to confirm receipt of the correct items, and maintain an accurate, neat record of all completed handovers.
- Cash Handling: Collect payments upon delivery as required, ensuring the correct amounts are received, recorded, and secured.
- Driver's License: A valid Code A driver’s license is non-negotiable.
- Experience: Proven track record working as a professional delivery driver, backed by solid, contactable references.
- Technical Skills: Sound knowledge of local road safety regulations and the ability to comfortably operate GPS/navigation devices.
- Attributes: Exceptional punctuality, reliability, and the ability to maintain a calm, professional demeanor when working under tight pressure.
- Must be a South African-born citizen.
- Must have a completely clean criminal background.
- Note: Full criminal background checks and driver's license verifications will be conducted on all shortlisted applicants.
