Accounting Clerk

Requirements:

Finance related degree or diploma
2 -3 years experience in a similar role
Sage Pastel accounting software experience is essential
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferably an immediately available candidate

Duties and responsibilities:

Data Entry and Transactions: Accurately record daily financial transactions (invoices, receipts, payments) in the accounting system. Process accounts payable and receivable to ensure timely payments and collections.

Bank and Cash Reconciliation: Regularly reconcile bank statements and ensure records match. Monitor and reconcile petty cash as needed.

Invoice and Support: Billing: Prepare and send customer invoices based on approved documents. Match purchase orders with supplier invoices for accuracy before payment.
Financial Reporting Assistance: Assist the Accounts and Admin Manager with monthly financial reports and reconciliations. Create summary reports and spreadsheets as needed.

Audit and Compliance Support: Gather documentation for internal and external audits. Ensure financial transactions comply with regulations and company policies.
