  • Minimum 58 years experience in warehouse, logistics,
  • Proven experience managing teams, KPIs, and operational costs
  • Cross-border logistics experience (strongly preferred)
  • Experience in a client-driven or contract logistics environment advantageous
  • Relevant logistics, supply chain, or business qualification preferred
Duties
  • Operations Ownership & Planning
  • Take full accountability for end-to-end warehouse and logistics operations.
  • Ensure effective planning of receiving, dispatch, load lists, and delivery schedules.
  • Implement and enforce operational procedures, controls, and reporting standards.
  • Ensure operational risks, bottlenecks, and exceptions are identified early and resolved.
  • Maintain oversight of stock discrepancies, damages, and short deliveries, ensuring corrective action.
  • People Management & Performance
  • Lead and manage warehouse and office staff through clear structure, expectations, and accountability.
  • Set measurable KPIs for individuals and teams aligned to operational and financial objectives.
  • Monitor performance and address underperformance decisively and fairly.
  • Drive a culture of ownership, discipline, and professionalism.
  • Identify training needs and support upskilling and cross-training initiatives.
  • Financial & Commercial Management
  • Own operational cost control, including labour, transport, overtime, and wastage.
  • Ensure accurate and timely invoicing and financial documentation.
  • Review operational spend against budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
  • Provide management with clear operational and financial reporting.
  • Ensure financial discipline and transparency across the operation.
  • Client Relationship Management
  • Act as the primary point of contact for a key client.
  • Build and maintain a professional, trusted working relationship.
  • Manage client expectations through proactive communication and planning.
  • Ensure service levels and contractual commitments are consistently met.
  • Escalate risks and issues appropriately, with solutions-focused recommendations.
  • Cross-Border Logistics Oversight
  • Oversee cross-border logistics activities, ensuring correct planning and documentation.
  • Coordinate with transporters, clearing agents, and service providers.
  • Ensure compliance with cross-border requirements and timelines.
  • Monitor transporter performance and hold service providers accountable.
