Divisional Operations Manager (FMCG Wholesale & Distribution)

Minimum Requirements
  • Diploma in Business Administration, Operations Management, or related qualification
  • Minimum 5 years experience in FMCG operations management
  • At least 3 years in a middle management role
  • Proven experience managing large teams in FMCG retail and/or wholesale environments
  • Strong background in sales and merchandising operations
  • Wholesale experience is essential (non-negotiable)
  • Strong analytical and operational planning capabilities
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
Key Responsibilities
  1. Operational Planning & Execution
  • Develop and implement operational plans aligned with business objectives
  • Monitor KPIs, budgets, and cost controls
  • Analyse operational performance and implement improvements
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and industry standards
  1. Sales & Merchandising Excellence
  • Drive sales performance across retail and wholesale channels
  • Ensure stock availability and reduce out-of-stock situations
  • Oversee merchandising standards and in-store execution
  • Manage promotional compliance and execution effectiveness
  • Conduct store visits and ensure execution quality
  1. Customer & Stakeholder Management
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients and customers
  • Address and resolve operational and service-related issues
  • Gather and analyse customer feedback and market insights
  • Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction and retention
  1. Team Leadership & Development
  • Lead, manage, and develop large operational teams
  • Conduct performance reviews and development planning
  • Drive employee engagement, training, and capability building
  • Foster a culture of accountability and high performance
