Financial Accountant

A well-established organisation is seeking to appoint a Financial Accountant to join their finance team based in Bryanston, Johannesburg. This opportunity offers exposure to a broad finance function within a stable yet engaging environment.

This role is ideally suited to a BCom-qualified professional with 23 years experience who is confident in their abilities and eager to grow within a hands-on finance role. The ideal candidate is outgoing, resilient, and thrives in a high-performance environment where strong personality and communication skills are key.

The successful individual will be responsible for supporting the full finance function, ensuring accurate financial reporting, and maintaining strong financial discipline across the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with the full finance function, including reporting and reconciliations
• Perform bookkeeping and maintain accurate financial records
• Prepare monthly reports and assist with financial statements
• Ensure compliance with financial policies and procedures
• Support budgeting and forecasting processes
• Assist with audits and liaise with external stakeholders
• Maintain strong attention to detail in all financial tasks

Job Experience & Qualifications:

• BCom degree (minimum requirement)
• Completed articles advantageous
• 23 years relevant finance experience
• Strong bookkeeping and accounting skills
• Excellent communication skills extroverted and confident
• Resilient, outspoken, and able to operate in a fast-paced environment
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
