A dynamic opportunity for a confident, goal-oriented External Parts Sales Rep in Mbombela & surrounds.

A well-established organisation is seeking a highly driven, confident and commercially minded External Parts Sales Representative to expand its customer base across Mbombela and the surrounding Lowveld region. The ideal candidate is energetic, persuasive and comfortable engaging new customers, building strong relationships and converting opportunities into profitable sales.

Key Responsibilities
  • Identify, approach and develop prospective customers within the allocated territory
  • Build strong relationships with workshops, mechanics, retailers, fleet operators and industrial clients
  • Promote and sell turbochargers, turbo components, filtration products and related automotive/industrial parts
  • Conduct regular visits to existing and potential customers
  • Generate leads through cold calling, referrals, field visits and online research
  • Understand customer requirements and identify correct parts using part numbers, vehicle applications and product specifications
  • Prepare accurate quotations and follow up consistently until opportunities are closed
  • Achieve monthly sales, gross profit, new-account and customer-activity targets
  • Grow existing accounts through proactive service, cross-selling and upselling
  • Maintain accurate records of customer interactions, quotations, leads and sales activity
  • Provide feedback on customer needs, competitor activity, pricing expectations and market trends
  • Collaborate with internal sales, purchasing, warehouse and dispatch teams to ensure efficient order fulfilment
  • Assist with customer queries, returns and after-sales support
  • Represent the organisation professionally during customer visits and industry events
  • Maintain a structured weekly call cycle, route plan and visitation schedule
Minimum Requirements
  • Matric or equivalent
  • Valid South African driver's licence & passport
  • Own reliable vehicle (mandatory)
  • Own reliable smartphone (mandatory)
  • Willingness to travel throughout Mbombela and surrounding areas (Mozambique & Swaziland)
  • Previous sales, customer service or business-development experience
  • 1-3 years of sales experience preferred (strong entry-level candidates may be considered)
  • Basic computer literacy (email, MS Office, online systems)
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work with figures, quotations, pricing and margins
  • Professional command of English; Afrikaans or additional local languages advantageous

Working Conditions

The role includes both branch-based activities and regular external customer visits. The representative must manage a structured call cycle, travel within the allocated territory and remain available to customers during business hours.Use of a personal vehicle is required. Fuel reimbursement, travel allowance or kilometre-claim structures will be confirmed in the final offer.
