About the Role

Our client is looking for an experienced, self-driven Recruiter seeking a flexible opportunity to earn commission. This role is ideal for someone with an established network who enjoys working independently and has a strong ability to source, screen, and place high-quality candidates across various industries.

You will manage the full recruitment lifecycle on live mandates as they arise, with direct rewards tied to successful placements. This opportunity is well-suited to individuals between roles, consulting part-time, semi-retired, or looking to supplement their income while maintaining flexibility.

Key Responsibilities
  • Partner with stakeholders to understand hiring needs and develop accurate role briefs
  • Source candidates through multiple channels, including LinkedIn, job boards, referrals, and personal networks
  • Conduct initial screening interviews to assess skills, cultural fit, and motivation
  • Shortlist and present qualified candidates with clear written summaries
  • Coordinate interviews between candidates and hiring managers
  • Manage candidate communication and feedback throughout the recruitment process
  • Negotiate offers and support candidates through placement and onboarding
  • Build and maintain a strong pipeline of candidates for future and recurring roles
  • Recruit across various industries and levels as mandates arise
  • Manage relationships with clients, partners, and candidates
Minimum Requirements
  • 2–5 years of proven recruitment experience
  • Bachelor’s degree in Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or a related field
  • Demonstrated track record of successful placements across multiple sectors
  • Strong sourcing capability, including LinkedIn Recruiter and Boolean search techniques
  • Based in Johannesburg, with the ability to meet candidates and clients when required
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills
  • Own laptop, reliable internet connection, and smartphone
  • Legal right to work in South Africa
Preferred Attributes
  • Existing candidate database or strong professional network in Gauteng
  • Experience recruiting across diverse functions (e.g., finance, operations, sales, tech, admin)
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
  • Entrepreneurial mindset with a strong sense of ownership
  • Familiarity with applicant tracking systems (ATS) or CRM tools
