Mechanical Engineer

• Develop mechanical designs, calculations, and technical documentation
• Create detailed drawings, BOMs, and assembly information
• Perform basic mechanical analysis on components and systems
• Support project delivery from design through to installation
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and stakeholders
• Assist with site activities and resolve technical issues
• Review shop drawings and support manufacturing processes
• Ensure quality standards and maintain documentation
• Contribute to testing, commissioning, and handover processes
• Assist with process improvements and design optimisation

• 15 years experience in mechanical design
• Proficiency SolidWorks.
• Basic understanding of mechanical analysis and FEA concepts
• Exposure to manufacturing, fabrication, or building systems
• Familiarity with relevant standards (SANS, EN, ASCE advantageous)
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Ability to work both independently and within a team

• BEng / BSc / MEng in Mechanical Engineering or related field
