Key Responsibilities
Technical Support & Helpdesk- Provide first- and second-line IT support across operational and administrative departments
- Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software, network, printer, and email issues
- Install and maintain desktops, laptops, barcode scanners, mobile devices, and peripherals
- Assist users with Microsoft Office, Windows operating systems, and operational systems
- Liaise with third-party service providers and manage support tickets
- Maintain LAN, wireless networks, and internet connectivity
- Install and crimp network cabling (RJ45, shielded RJ45, keystones, etc.)
- Support systems development where programming and operational knowledge are required
- Perform routine maintenance and system updates
- Support printers, biometric systems, CCTV, VoIP, and access control systems
- Monitor system performance and identify recurring technical issues
- Assist with IT asset management and procurement
- Supervise and monitor IT personnel where required
- Ensure compliance with IT policies and procedures
- Assist with data security and confidentiality measures
- Identify and report risks or system vulnerabilities
- Support business continuity and disaster recovery processes
- National Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field
- Minimum 5 to 8 years experience in IT support or IT administration
- Strong MS SQL Server skills including query writing and database maintenance
- Advanced Microsoft Excel skills
- Experience supporting Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365 environments
- Knowledge of networking, routers, switches, and wireless systems
- Valid drivers licence
- Programming knowledge in VBA, C#, ASP.NET, Python, or similar
- CompTIA A+ and/or Network+ certifications
- Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, warehouse, production, or abattoir environments
- Exposure to cybersecurity principles and remote support tools
- Knowledge of CCTV, VoIP, biometric systems, and access control systems
- Strong accounting or actuarial background
